Happy Reads for the Weekend

It’s FRIDAY!!!!!! The weather here in the Midwest is BEAUTIFUL, the crisp fall air crept in overnight, the sun is shinning and I have a weekend planned on reading my new book obsession!

So without further ado here are some great reads for your weekend!!!

A mother of Sandy Hook victim writes a powerful letter to teachers.  My favorite quote is “Real heroes don’t wear capes. They work in America’s schools!”

And yet again someone bashing generation y! Or at least explaining Why Generation Y Yuppies are Unhappy!  I sort of agree and yet completely disagree with this article. But that is a loooonnnnnngggg story and so that will probably come in another post.

I love when famous singers go onto Sesame Street… I love it even more when that famous singer is none other than Dave Matthews!  What is even better about this is the message of the song that they are singing.  A song about feeling feelings is something we should remind our children about.  And now I have an urge to listen to Dave Matthews!!!

A great q&a with the author of Maxed out American Moms on the Brink!

Chipotle marketing team has done it again!  Their new video is haunting and makes me want to hug a milk cow.   Annnndddd what is a good video without someone to protest it.

On behalf of moms everywhere, who have ever had to deal with a tantrum throwing toddler, I THANK YOU Matt Walsh for your recent blog post!  You hit the nail on the head when you said “Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about, but the hardest thing in the world to do. “   This woman was an excellent example of parenting.  Next time my toddler decides to raise hell in the store I am going to remember her composure.

This video  the Today/NBC News was helpful. I am totally guilty of throwing out food before the sell by date.

If you have any good articles to share leave us a link to them in the comments section!!! Happy weekend everyone!
